The MINI Countryman is already known as a force to be reckoned with, but there are even fewer vehicles out there that can match the newest special edition Countryman’s appeal. The debut of the brand-new MINI Countryman Park Lane, which occurred earlier this month at the Geneva International Motor Show, provides the public with a premium quality MINI that is sure to turn heads, no matter where it goes.
This special edition Countryman offers a specially developed design and color concept with an Earl Grey metallic finished combined with a new vibrant Oak Red roof. Chrome accents make an appearance throughout the vehicle’s exterior, finishing with 18-inch light alloy wheels. Inside, the vehicle offers five seats, including a shifting rear seat. It also has plenty of cargo space, making it a top choice for those consumers looking for a unique vehicle to transport them around town.
While you have to wait to see the MINI Countryman Park Lane model for yourself, you can still stop in to MINI of Pittsburgh today and get a first-hand look at our spectacular lineup!
Early this month, MINI sponsored the Burton US Open snowboarding competition in Vail, Colorado at Golden Peak. This is the fifth year MINI has been the “presenting” partner for the Burton US Open.
“MINI and Burton share a unique bond in having their loyal communities rally around fun and adventure,” said Patrick McKenna, Head of Product and Events at MINI USA, in a statement. “Both of our brands fuel and embrace a passion among our communities that allows us to become a part of their lives which is such a rare and coveted privilege.”
In addition to being the presenting sponsor, MINI also presented the MINI Feature Award. This award is given to the team of slopestyle designers who create the most innovative snowboarding feature. Teams from the Burton High Fives in New Zealand, the Burton European Open at LAAX, and the Burton US Open at Vail compete for this honor. This year’s award was given to the team from LAAX who created a halfpipe structure with two corners and multiple straight jump options. They won the grand both prize of $5,000.
Anyone who attended the Burton US Open didn’t have to look far for MINI products, as various MINI vehicles were on display at the Sponsor Village at Golden Peak and in Burton retail stores in both Arrabelle and Vail Village.

The first images have been released of the upcoming MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo virtual racecar. The Vision GT will be available to download in Gran Turismo 6, the popular racing game for PlayStation 3 that pits some of the sickest virtual cars imaginable—both real and imagined—against one another.
You can check out the sketches here to judge for yourself, but it’s safe to say that the MINI Clubman is one of the sleekest, most futuristic virtual cars yet.
This virtual car gets almost 400 horsepower, using all 4 wheels in an all-wheel drive system. And – the MINI Clubman can hit 60 mph from zero in just 3.5 seconds. Talk about a strong start right out of the gate.
Tragically, there are no plans for this virtual car to become a reality, but on the bright side, to use the vehicle in GT6, you won’t have to pay a price tag of hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars. It’s available now as part of GT6’s most recent in-game update.
