We are excited to be getting the MINI Supperleggera in a few years. Learn more about this concept car below.

The MINI Superleggera Concept has officially been announced and it will be heading our way in just a few short years. The open-top two-seater will be launched in 2019 and we’re extremely excited to welcome it to the family.

The new car, designed by MINI and Touring Superleggera, is said to have the front wheel drive UKL platform and will be equipped with three cylinder, four-cylinder, and diesel engine options. In addition, it’s speculated that there will be a plug-in version of the concept car.

Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design, said, “Touring Superleggera and MINI have much in common: both companies attach great importance to their history and this is something which defines their outward appearance to this day. What is more, they both emphasize iconic design and distinctive solutions.”

Although we have to wait until 2019 to get our hands on it, we’re highly excited about the partnership between MINI and Superleggera. Stay tuned to our MINI of Pittsburgh blog and we’ll release more details about the upcoming concept car as they are revealed.

2016 MINI Clubman Revealed

After a long wait, the 2016 MINI Clubman has finally been unveiled. The new Clubman underwent a pretty significant update and now offers more than ever before. For full details about the upgrade, read our 2016 MINI Clubman review below.

First, the biggest change is the new Clubman’s size. It has officially taken the title of the longest and widest MINI available. It is now 10.9 inches longer than the Hardtop and 2.9 inches wider, and the wheel base is 4 inches longer. The Clubman also has a better door arrangement, eliminating the suicide doors from the previous model. In addition, there are new interior choices and technology features.

Customers can choose between the Cooper and Cooper S. The Cooper will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 3 cylinder that generates 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The Cooper S will be upgraded to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder that produces 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.

We’re extremely excited for the new Clubman to come our way, and we hope you are too! Pricing won’t be available for the new 2016 MINI Clubman until September, but for all other details, please feel free to call or visit us at MINI of Pittsburgh!
