MINI has been on somewhat of a hiatus regarding the Big Game advertisements. But this year, it’s finally back. It’ll join the many other companies who put sweat and tears into their Super Bowl commercials. MINI will have its own big game commercial.
So, what will this commercial be? Well, it will be a 30-second spot (so don’t miss it by running to get more guac for your chips!) and will run in the third quarter of the game. It will feature many MINIs, including the brand-new, already popular MINI Clubman.
But that’s not all: this commercial won’t only feature cars, but six well-known people, too. Who? Top tennis player Serena Williams, recently retired soccer superstar Abby Wambach, skateboarder Tony Hawk, former major league pitcher Randy Johnson, rapper T-Pain and actor Harvey Keitel.
So there’s quite a lot of talent to fit into 30 seconds. And I’m talking about the cars and the stars! Luckily, MINI has alreayd released some longer segments on their website so you can learn how these celebrities all fell in love with MINI. Get ready to settle down and watch it (and the Big Game) February 7th.
While the idea of a large, six-door MINI station wagon may seem like it strays drastically from the not normal image that is MINI, the 2016 MINI Clubman tells matches the MINI brand’s idea of a great car and unique, quirky, fun-to-drive appearance that we all love. Of course, we are not the only ones that love MINI. Industry critics appear to be all about the Clubman’s extra legroom and improvements to the vehicle’s second-generation too. The new 2016 MINI Clubman provides improved space and storage options without sacrificing the brand’s retro feel.
The 2016 Clubman is described by the New York Daily News as a compact segment interpretation of the “Shooting Brake” (a British term for a version of a station wagon), which fits the visual of the vehicle’s wide, elongated body. The MINI Clubman’s tailgate splits and opens with the two doors facing one another, so in addition to the car’s four-door setup, this makes the Clubman a six-door “Shooting Brake”.
The Clubman comfortably provides space for up to four passengers, with ample luggage capacity. Despite the extra interior space, the vehicle still evokes the traditional feel of the MINI brand with its superior handling and powerful engine.
MINI’s introduced more and more variety into their models lately with the arrival of other cars in their lineup such as the Hatch, Countryman, and Paceman, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We love showing off the latest MINI and helping our motoring customers fall in love with the MINI of their dreams. Come by MINI of Pittsburgh to test drive the new 2016 Clubman and find out what makes it so unique, even in our MINI line-up.
After a long wait, the 2016 MINI Clubman has finally been unveiled. The new Clubman underwent a pretty significant update and now offers more than ever before. For full details about the upgrade, read our 2016 MINI Clubman review below.
First, the biggest change is the new Clubman’s size. It has officially taken the title of the longest and widest MINI available. It is now 10.9 inches longer than the Hardtop and 2.9 inches wider, and the wheel base is 4 inches longer. The Clubman also has a better door arrangement, eliminating the suicide doors from the previous model. In addition, there are new interior choices and technology features.
Customers can choose between the Cooper and Cooper S. The Cooper will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 3 cylinder that generates 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The Cooper S will be upgraded to a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder that produces 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque.
We’re extremely excited for the new Clubman to come our way, and we hope you are too! Pricing won’t be available for the new 2016 MINI Clubman until September, but for all other details, please feel free to call or visit us at MINI of Pittsburgh!
