Local Pennsylvania Dealership MINI of Pittsburgh Helps with Winchester Thurston Auction

The Winchester Thurston School, a local private college-preparatory school in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, recently hosted its annual online auction from February 13, 2013 to March 7, 2013.

Proceeds from the online auction directly benefit financial aid opportunities, educational programs and operational needs for Winchester Thurston.

Always willing to support a great cause, local Pennsylvania dealership, MINI of Pittsburgh, donated the only sensible item it had in stock for the online auction.

And, that was none other than a weekend with a MINI Convertible.

A total of 1,422 bids placed on more than 250 auction items raised $36,867 for Winchester Thurston.

Auction items ranged anywhere from vacation getaways to restaurant and spa gift certificates and, of course, a weekend with a MINI Convertible.

Winchester Thurston School, with the help of Associates in Ophthalmology, will host a Red Carpet Revelry event on March 9, 2013 at the Fairmont Pittsburgh at 510 Market Street from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to announce the winners of these charitable prizes.

MINI of Pittsburgh is excited to meet the lucky bidder that gets to spend an entire weekend with one of our MINI Convertibles.

You Could Win a MINI Convertible with a $100 Donation to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire

2013 MINI Cooper RoadsterMini is going big this year for the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.  You will have the chance to win a $33,800 MINI Convertible by supporting the museum with a $100 donation!  That’s right a $33,800 car for a $100 raffle ticket donation; you can’t beat a deal like that.

This is the second year the museum is doing this raffle and last year was a huge success. “We held our first-ever car raffle last year and all 600 tickets sold out the week before the drawing,” commented Justine Roberts, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, in a statement.  They are increasing the tickets sales to 700 raffle tickets for $100 each.  The winner will be awarded a metallic reef blue 2013 MINI S Roadster.

“Spending $100 to win a car worth over $33,000 is a bargain, and all proceeds benefit the museum’s work with children and families around the state and beyond,” said Roberts.  If you would like to help families across the country and possibly win a brand new car, there are still some tickets left.  They can be purchased online at www.childrens-museum.org or by calling (603) 742-2002 during museum hours.

The lucky winner will be announced on Friday, March 8 between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.  Our dealership, MINI of Pittsburgh, is proud to be a part of a company that is helping such a great cause!
